The 2025 Master Builders NT Excellence in Building and Construction Awards were a BIG night for the DCOH team taking home 7 AWARDS including the prestigious Presidents Award!
After a few years of hard work, we were thrilled to win the following awards:
🏆 Commercial Sustainability Award for the Danala Education Precinct for Charles Darwin University
🏆Education Facility Award for the Danala Education Precinct for Charles Darwin University
🏆 Entertainment, Sporting, and Recreation Facility Award for The Cinema Collective
🏆Commercial/Industrial Construction Award $50-$100 million for Holtze Youth Detention Centre
🏆Commercial/Industrial Construction Award for over $100 million for the Danala Education Precinct for Charles Darwin University
🏆 Young Builder of the Year award went to our C.O.O, Lachlan Michell
🏆 Presidents Award
We also receieved a Highly Commended in the Site Supervisor of the Year Award category for Matthew Sharp, and for Cladding Subcontractor of the Year for our team from Textum.
Our $250 million development of the Danala Education Precinct for Charles Darwin University was our crown jewel, as it was delivered on time, on budget, and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Charles Darwin University Vice Chancellor, Scott Bowman, said it was ‘the perfect build’.
“It sends a message to the Northern Territory and Darwin about the importance of education. I cannot speak highly enough about this group of people and the campus will be the future of Darwin.”
Shane Dignan, our Managing Director and CEO, was humbled and to take home our wins on the night.
“This is another amazing award for a company that’s going to go forward in leaps in bounds,” Mr Dignan said.
“This is a company of choice and we want the best people to work for us and we’ll help educate and train them for the next 10 years while we see that growth in the Territory.”
