The C2 development was constructed on Darwin’s iconic esplanade, using land formerly set aside as car parking for the Novotel Darwin. This $50 million design and construction project was completed on time and under budget using innovative approaches to construction while at the same time incorporating subsequent changes to the NT Planning Scheme to maximise best use for the site.

With expansive harbour views, the esplanade parkland across the road and the bustling activity of Mitchell Street a minute’s walk from the front door, C2 is one of the best addresses in Darwin’s CBD.

C2 incorporates a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments that are efficient, well-appointed and superbly finished with a complementary mix of owner occupier and serviced apartments, available for short and long-term lease.

Highly Commended 2010 Master Builders NT Excellence Award for Multiple Dwellings Apartment, over 11 Storeys Building

One30 Esplanade features two pairs of conjoined towers with design innovations allowing every apartment to boast 60% of its perimeter having access to uninterrupted sweeping views, natural light and ventilation. All the 128 apartments (180m2 each) feature three bedrooms with separate living, dining, family room spaces, and an additional 35m2 of outdoor living.

Each floor of every tower has only 2 residents serviced by 2 secure lifts. This equates to an average of one lift for every 16 apartments.

With a mix of owner occupier and serviced apartments for corporate and long-term lease, management of this property is by Solis and the serviced apartments are managed by Thyme.

From the conception of the project, DCOH understood the key to project success rested in the effective management of the logistics of constructing such a large scale, complex structure.

• 45,000m3 basement excavation in porcellanite rock, 9 meters deep over 3 levels, and 5000m2 footprint per level. NB: Dimensionally, this is almost identical to the completed State Square Underground Carpark
