A buzzing campus where university students live and study, in the heart of Darwin’s CBD, will soon become a reality with works now underway on a long-awaited accommodation project at the Danala Education and Community Precinct.
DCOH was recently appointed to build the 14-storey, 352-bed facility for Campus Living Villages (CLV) to accommodate Charles Darwin University (CDU) students. Featuring a mix of high-demand studio and six-bedroom apartments. Scheduled for completion in late 2028, the development will include amenities that support student learning, health and wellbeing, including communal kitchens, study areas and shared spaces that foster connection.
In 2024, DCOH delivered the show-stopping university build on time and on budget in a regional area during Covid, with the project going on to win numerous national and state awards. The student accommodation tower on Woods Street will bring much-needed housing for students at the city campus.
