The architectural design of the main stadium is rational yet simplistic, while providing a first-class rugby league arena suited to the tropics. The structure was designed with dynamic lines with the intent of being easily navigated by both players and spectators, essential for smooth and safe operation. The stadium is well suited to the Territory’s climate and has been designed to take advantage of any crossflow breezes. This provides a cooling experience for spectators and energy saving options to player facilities. The building incorporates three distinct levels, connected, and serviced by a lift, grand stairs (at each end) and additional fire egresses.
