We’re officially a Great Place To Work®!

DCOH has been recognised as a Great Place To Work® for the second consecutive year, reaffirming the strength of its workplace culture through independent employee feedback.

DCOH is officially a Great Place to Work

“Achieving Great Place To Work® Certification for a second consecutive year is something we’re incredibly proud of because it comes directly from the feedback of our people” said Managing Director and CEO Shane Dignan.

Chief People Officer, Emily Nyamdorj, said the recognition was particularly meaningful because it reflected the experiences and perspectives of our employees. “The results show strong pride in the work we do and the relationships we have across our teams. Just as importantly, the feedback also helps shape where we focus next as we continue Building Better for our people and our business.”

Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture. Its Trust Index™ survey measures employees’ experience across five key areas: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie, providing insight into the relationships between employees and their leaders, their work and their teams.

This year, 87% of respondents said that, taking everything into account, DCOH is a great place to work, supporting the company’s recertification.

For almost 40 years, DCOH has invested in Northern Australia through development, construction, operations, hospitality and long-term asset ownership. With headquarters in Darwin, DCOH has gone from strength to strength with the recent expansion into Melbourne’s construction industry. As well as delivering award-winning infrastructure projects across Defence, civic and health sectors, the family-owned business proudly invests in large-scale residential communities, commercial buildings and prime hospitality assets.

DCOH grows its national footprint

DCOH expands into Victoria through the acquisition of Unlimited Commercial Constructions

DCOH has entered the Victorian market through the majority acquisition of Melbourne based Unlimited Commercial Constructions, marking a significant step in our continued national growth.

The Victorian business will transition to the DCOH brand, combining Unlimited Commercial Constructions’ established local presence with our nearly 40 year track record delivering complex projects across government, defence, health, education, commercial, sport and recreation sectors.

Victoria represents one of Australia’s largest and most competitive construction markets. This acquisition provides DCOH with an immediate operational platform in Victoria, established local leadership and a strong project pipeline.

DCOH’s Chief Operating Officer Lachlan Mitchell says the acquisition reflects clear strategic alignment between the two businesses.

“Unlimited has built a strong reputation in Victoria and brings experienced leadership with a proven track record in delivering complex projects.

“The alignment in sector focus and delivery approach made this a natural fit. DCOH brings nearly four decades of consistent performance, disciplined governance and financial strength, providing our clients with certainty and confidence in long term delivery.”

DCOH welcomes Ben Bugeja and Jen Burridge as Directors of DCOH Victoria.

Founded by Directors Jen Burridge and Ben Bugeja in 2023, Unlimited Commercial Constructions has developed a strong client base including local government, tertiary institutions and private developers, complementing their extensive experience in delivering large scale commercial projects.

Jen Burridge says: “We have built an exceptional team and a strong foundation in Victoria. Partnering with DCOH enhances our ability to pursue opportunities in our core sectors with the backing of an established contractor with long term financial stability.”

Ben Bugeja adds: “Our goals are closely aligned, and we share a disciplined, relationship driven approach to construction.
Being part of DCOH strengthens our financial capacity and delivery capability, giving our clients confidence in continuity and performance.”

Projects across the Northern Territory and Victoria will be delivered under the DCOH brand, reflecting a unified approach to quality, capability and long term performance.
